Lucy is a filmmaker originally from King of the Hill, Texas with a penchant for the morbidly funny. If she had a nickel for every time a close family member died on the day of a significant life event, she’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but weird that it’s happened twice. Her work has been called bleak by some, “deliciously disturbing” by others. She has worked full time for both Condé Nast and A+E Networks, and she enjoys shooting on 16mm. Her first short, Vanitas, premiered at the Bushwick Film Festival to a sold out crowd, and her latest film, a short shot during the 2024 solar eclipse, is currently in post.
